Cloudflare 11/2019 - 2023- Managed an internationally distributed team of 9 product designers, including 2 design managers, responsible for the design direction of the Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, R2, Pages, etc.) and emerging products.
- Lead the design management team through exercises to redesign the product design hiring process to reduce bias in talent evaluation, create better onboarding experiences, and build a more transparent process for candidates.
- Worked with product and engineering leadership to build organizational growth plans and establish design hiring goals.
- Introduced new ways for designers to participate in code reviews and collaborate on the final stages of shipping well-polished interfaces to production.

User Experience Design Lead
18F 01/2016 - 11/2019- Served as UX Design Lead to 10+ members of the distributed 18F design team for more than 3 years, holding weekly 1-1s and coaching them through project and career challenges.
- Lead the user experience design and developer experience for the U.S. Web Design System team — a government-wide design system — building new components, writing usage guidelines, establishing a scalable governance process, and providing developer community support.
- Co-wrote the 18F UX Guide to help onboard new designers onto the 18F design team and prepare agency partners to work with our designer team.
- Lead the user experience design for Login.gov while we designed a process for handling remote identity proofing and began to offer additional multi-factor authentication methods to tens of millions of users.

Airship 11/2014 - 04/2015- Designed and built interactive prototypes of a new customer-facing dashboard for managing push messages sent across all mobile platforms using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
- Studied the legacy user dashboard through a series of moderated usability testing sessions to uncover usability pitfalls and inform product development.

Edmodo 04/2013 - 09/2014- Managed a team of 7 user experience designers, researchers, product designers and brand designers — responsible for handling resource allocation, helping with career development, and project scoping.
- Spread design thinking through the Edmodo organization with a series of interactive workshops, talks, and activities designed to showcase a user-centered design process.
- Introduced user field interviews, usability testing, and journaling exercises into the design process to make more informed product decisions.
